Animal products are composed of many enzymes and hormones that an animal produces for its own body or its offspring. Just as a human body produces milk for a baby, providing all the necessary nutrients for the baby's development, a cow similarly produces milk exclusively to meet the needs of its calf. Humans can obtain all their nutritional needs from plant-based sources, while consuming unnecessary hormones and enzymes from animal sources can harm their own bodies. Additionally, animal-based sources are associated with many diseases, such as cholesterol-related illnesses. According to a study conducted by the World Health Organization, red meat is considered a potential carcinogen, and its consumption is associated with an increased risk of cancer as it is consumed more*.
